Italian jeweler Vendorafa has just launched a new season of its jewelry collection, “Torre,” which is inspired by medieval castle architecture and whose name translates to “tower” in Italian.
The new work uses gold to create geometric patterns that resemble riposte, reminiscent of the defensive architecture of ancient castles. The special feature is the three-dimensional chisel pressed texture hand-hammered by a goldsmith on the surface of the gold, which is then matte polished to create a clean and ornate texture.
There are five pieces in the new work. The inner walls of the rings and bracelets are hidden to represent the love of love, and the inlaid diamond outline is the focal point. The necklace works blend perfectly with the collarbone lines, while the studs create a three-dimensional pattern of trompe l ‘oeil effect, just like the lookout window on the castle tower.
