To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Serpenti series, BVLGARI has launched a unique high-end necklace designed by brand jewelry creative director Lucia Silvestri, cleverly abstracting three-dimensional serpentine elements, like a symbol of infinite snake guarding the neck.
During the 75 years since the birth of ‘Serpenti’, the imagery of the spirit snake has been constantly evolving, from the Tubogas craftsmanship in the late 1940s to breakthroughs in creations such as snake head watch cases, gemstone inlays, and modular structures. The biggest highlight of the new work is to present the serpentine body from the perspective of “looking down”, highlighting the abstract art expression of the snake totem.
The designer uses platinum to create intricate curved lines, resembling the slender and winding body of a snake from a bird’s-eye perspective, perfectly fitting the contour of the neck. The snake body creates a stereoscopic visual effect through the black and white contrast of custom cut onyx and inlaid round diamonds; Nearly 30 curved cut emeralds are inlaid between the gaps to add a touch of charm.
