In Disney’s Valley of Fire, you’ll need gems for a variety of reasons. They can be part of a quest, crafting an item, or just a gift to a friend. Luckily, gems are plentiful and all you need to do to find them is to dig with a pickaxe at a mining point. But the type of gems you get depends on your region. You’ll see that every gem in Disney’s Valley of Fire comes from one or two regions.
Remember that you won’t find gems every time you mine a gem. Each one has a chance to drop, so you can get gems and ores. But keep up the good work and eventually you will find the right gem. Luckily, mining sites update quickly, so leave the area to do something else, and when you return, you can start mining again.
Each gem can also drop a standard variety or a “shiny” variety. Annoyingly, “shiny” gems cannot be used in recipes that call for the standard version. But they cost a lot more, so finding them will still be a bonus.
